Well, funny you ask. I have just recently solved that problem. I found a way to stream content from teh BBC iPlayer to my iPhone here in Brazil!
As you know, you cannot watch BBC content if you are not in teh country. HOwever, I did some research and came up with a very stable soultion which allows you to log on to a server in the UK via VPN. Once you do that you can watch unlimited iPlayer content or 4oD (Channel4) or anything on itv.com. They also have a server in the USA which means you can watch any geo-IP-blocked content such as hulu.com. A few tweaks and as I say, I can even trick my Brazilian iPHone into streaming BBC content. It is not free but almost is and has been a lifesaver for me being so far from home. If you want the details email me offline on davide@jooq.net or catch me on Y!.
